Nowadays, Unemployment rate seems to rise mostly in populated countries like the Philippines. The competition is too high, there are many applicants for few positions. Sometimes there are a lot of positions but not all are qualified. One way to reduce unemployment rate is to have training programs that offers different technical and vocational courses. With these training programs, opportunity will be easier, and equality will be for all.
Good thing there is TESDA
The
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) was established
through the enactment of Republic Act No. 7796 otherwise
known as the "Technical Education and Skills Development Act of
1994", which was signed into law by President Fidel V. Ramos on August 25,
1994. This Act aims to encourage the full participation of and mobilize the
industry, labor, local government units and technical-vocational institutions
in the skills development of the country's human resources.
The
merging of the National Manpower and Youth Council (NMYC) of the
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). The Bureau of Technical and
Vocational Education (BTVE) of the Department of Education, Culture and
Sports (DECS), and The Apprenticeship Program of the Bureau of Local
Employment (BLE) of the DOLE gave birth to TESDA.

This summer 2012, my classmates try to enroll in the Barista Course.
TESDA never seems to fail in giving good free training programs for all Filipinos. With these training programs, all TESDA graduates would really seem to have good job opportunities not just here in the Philippines but also abroad.
Last 2009, I had been a part of TESDA Training Course in which I take up the BARISTA COURSE. Within a month we go through serious lessons and trainings which a Barista should know. I enjoy the whole free course, I learn the different Espresso and Milk combinations.
The best thing about this course is:
- THE WHOLE COURSE IS FREE
- CERTIFICATE IS FOR GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS
- WE HAVE A DAILY ALLOWANCE
- WE HAD A GRADUATION CEREMONY
- Bartending
- Culinary Arts
- Housekeeping
- Barista Course
- Physical Theraphy and many more
